Assurance that the German government will call upon all possible measures to protect the Jews from terrorization was given today by Minister of Interior Baron Wilhelm von Gayl to a delegation representing the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith.

The delegation which included Dr. Julius Brodnitz, president of the Central Union, and Dr. Alfred Wiener, one of its leaders, presented to the Minister of Interior evidence of the attacks on Jewish life and property in Eastern Prussia, Upper Silesia and other parts of Germany.

The Jewish delegation emphasized that these attacks have shown a perceptible increase in the last few days and stated that they are the culmination of the agitation against the Jews which has reached such proportions that Jews are accused of hiding arms in synagogues and cemeteries.
