At a mass meeting held here last night a protest was voiced against the immigration restrictions. Rabbi Uziel and Messrs. Bloch, Dizengoff, Suprasky, Kaplansky and Bonfeld delivered addresses.
A resolution was passed demanding that the government should cancel the order regarding the expulsion of six tourist families, that it should issue no more deportation orders, put an end to the existing restrictions of immigration and deprive the Chief Immigration Officer, Albert Haymson, of the right to decide alon on questions of non-admittance.
A special deputation was appointed to present the resolution to the District Commissioner.
Rabbi Nathan Krass of Temple Emanu-Eldelivered the address to the graduates of Hunter College at the Commercement exercises held Thursday night.
Rose Resnick and Margaret Smith, both blind received bachelor of arts degrees, with 849 other students. Bessie Aaronson, Sylvia Cohen and Anna Sachor were the highest rating students of the class.
