At a mass meeting held under the auspices of the Bund, Jewish socialist party, Sunday night, the Palestine events were discussed and a resolution unfavorable to the Jewish Palestine work was passed. The resolution rebuked in particular Sholom Ash, Yiddish novelist, for the stand he took on the Palestine question, declaring: “This meeting expresses its indignation and bitterness at the fact that Sholom Ash, whom the Jewish masses have made great, has at this grave moment put himself in the camp of the Jewish chauvinists.”

The praesidium of the Jewish Writers and Journalists Association has called a special meeting to protest against the statements contained in the Bund resolution against Mr. Ash who is honorary president of the association.

The British Embassy here was surrounded with a cordon of mounted and foot police as a precautionary measure during the Zionist mass meeting held last night at the Circus Hall.
