At a meeting of the Boston chapter of Hadassah, at which Mrs. Edward Jacobs of New York was the guest of honor and principal speaker, Mrs. George Wyner, chairman of the building fund, gave Mrs. Jacobs a check for $5,000 toward Boston’s pledge of $10,000 for the Hadassah-University Hospital project in Palestine.
Boston chapter made its $10,000 pledge at the last national convention, through its president, Mrs. Julian Ansell, to be applied toward a Boston ward in the new institution. The money handed over represents the accumulation of a small fund started sixteen years ago by Mrs. Wyner and the late Mrs. David J. Lourie.
