At a meeting of the Pittsburgh Rabbinical Assembly held at the Poale Zedeck Synagogue, Monday, August 26, the following resolution was adopted:
“Whereas very sad reports have been received regarding the Arab anti-Jewish excesses in Jerusalem and other parts of Palestine, and as the result of these brutal attacks, a great number of Jews have been killed and wounded, including the rabbis and stu- (Continued on Page 8)
“Be it resolved that we, the members of the Rabbinical Assembly of Pittsburg, this day convened, raise our voices in strong protest against these barbaric outrages, and appeal to the Pittsburgh branch of the American Jewish Congress to call a mass protest meeting in Pittsburgh, to discuss plans that will safe-guard further anti-Jewish riost and disturbances and regarding the declaration of a public fast-day on Wednesday, September 4.
