At least eight Israelis were killed and 20 wounded when a bus driven by a Palestinian plowed into a group of soldiers and civilians waiting at a bus stop in a suburb south of Tel Aviv. An anonymous caller to Israel Radio’s Arabic service said the military wing of Hamas carried out the attack. Israeli police said the driver was a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip who had Israeli security clearance.
