At the offices of the National Council of Jewish Women here it was declared that the council was not intervening in the case but had merely telegraphed to Cuba for information concerning the arrest of Miss Pershonok. These inquiries, it was said, elicited the informantion that the American Consul had succeeded in obtaining a promise that the young woman would be released today. Infomation about Miss Pershonok’s New York address or place of employment was refused.
