SYRJALA WILL DESIGN SETTINGS FOR ‘STEVEDORE,’ NEGRO DRAMA
The Theatre Union has commissioned S. Syrjala to design settings for “Stevedore,” the Negro drama by Paul Peters and George Sklar, which will be presented at the Civic Repertory Theatre on April 18. Sylvia Regan, audience manager of the Theatre Union, reports that twenty-three organizations have purchased benefits for the play during the first ten days of its rehearsals.
