A football match between a Maccabi club and a Polish Olympics team at the city of Kolo ended in a riot yesterday when a mob of 500 attacked the Jewish team and Jewish spectators.
The riot was precipitated when Lipnowski, a member of the Maccabi team, was shoved by a player on the Polish squad. Several Jews were wounded, at least two of them seriously, in the ensuing free for-all. The police restored order finally, making many arrests. Efforts to resume the game were abandoned.
