Roumanian police today frustrated what is believed to have been an attempt to assassinate Prime Minister George Tatarescu while he was on a special train which was carrying him to attend a banquet given by King Carol in honor of the Bulgarian king and queen.
Police arrested a young man, believed to be a student, from the Premier’s coach. Apparently he entered the carriage while the train was in motion. The arrest caused much excitement.
