Another version was published here today of what Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, militant Arab Nationalist leader, said to the Royal Commission in Jerusalem about round-table talks on the Arab-Jewish problem.
The Times reported that in correcting the original reports of his testimony, Auni Bey yesterday declared he had wished to say the Arabs had been ready to compromise, but while stoutly opposed to recognition of Zionism they were prepared to sit down with the Jews on a non-Zionist basis and recognize their share as a minority.
Auni Bey had alleged mistranslation of his original testimony in which he was quoted as rejecting all compromise and round table talks.
