The Australian Government announced today that it is willing to admit 150 Jewish refugee children between the ages of seven and fourteen.
In making the announcement, Prime Minister John Curtin specified that the children “must be of good type and satisfactory physically and mentally.” They will be examined by Australian authorities in Britain before being allowed to embark for the journey here.
