The Australian Government has turned down all proposals for the establishment of commercial airline connections with Israel that have been advanced so far but they are still willing to negotiate, according to two Israeli aviation officials who returned from Canberra. Naftali Ben Yehuda, head of Israel’s Civil Aviation Department and Yerahmiel Shrem, deputy director general for commercial affairs of El Al, said a second round of negotiations with the Australians would begin in about two months.
