All funds raised by Australian Jews for overseas relief will be placed at the disposal of the Joint Distribution Committee, it was decided today at a meeting of Jewish welfare fund officials.
The opening campaign in Melbourne has already netted about $65,000 for overseas relief and it is reported that pledges of $40,000 have been obtained in the state of Victoria. A nation-wide campaign for relief funds will soon be launched.
