Australian Jewry, in a series of mass meetings protesting the Communist arms deal with Egypt, called on Australia to ask the Western powers to end exclusion of Israel from Middle East defense planning. It was announced that in ten days 40,000 pounds was donated by Jews in Victoria to aid the Israel emergency appeal.
