THE ACTION WAS TAKEN AFTER A CONFERENCE OF MEDICAL BOARDS OF VICTORIA, NEW SOUTH WALES, QUEENSLAND, SOUTH AUSTRALIA AND WESTERN AUSTRALIA HAD ADOPTED A RESOLUTION URGING LEGISLATION GIVING THE AUTHORITIES THE POWER TO REFUSE REGISTRATION FOR ALIEN APPLICANTS.
