The Austrian Government is considering diplomatic action to settle its dispute with the West German Government over claims of Austrian nationals who suffered damages and mistreatment at the hands of the Nazis, it was reported here today in informed sources.
The Austrian Government has asked for extension of the deadline for filing claims by Austrians under a Bonn-Vienna pact. The German attitude is considered discriminatory by Austrian officials because Bonn has expressed willingness to negotiate similar claims put forward by eight West European nations.
