President Miklos of the Austrian Republic conferred a gold medal upon Max Stoessl, president of the Jewish community of Klagenfurt. The honor was given Mr. Stoessl in recognition of his thirty years of communal activities.

A street in Vienna will be named for the late Professor Samuel Oppenheim, astronomer and mathematician, according to a decision taken by the Vienna Streets Commission.
