QUALIFIED SUPPORT OF THE BRITISH PROPOSAL FOR A THREE-WAY PARTITION OF PALESTINE WAS DECIDED UPON RECENTLY IN CONVERSATIONS AMONG AUSTRIA, HUNGARY AND POLAND, IT WAS RELIABLY LEARNED HERE TODAY.

THE SUPPORT HINGES ON GREAT BRITAIN’S MEETING DEMANDS OF THE THREE NATIONS FOR GUARANTEE OF ABSOLUTE PROTECTION FOR HOLY PLACES IN THE HOLY LAND. THIS ATTITUDE, IT IS UNDERSTOOD WAS ADOPTED AT THE SUGGESTION OF THE VATICAN, AND AUSTRIAN FOREIGN MINISTER GUIDO SCHMIDT, DURING HIS PROPOSED VISIT TO WARSAW, WILL DISCUSS THE AGREEMENT WITH A VIEW TO CONSOLIDATING THE CATHOLIC FRONT ON THE QUESTION OF HOLY PLACES.
