Bruno Kreisky, Austria’s Foreign Minister, told foreign press correspondents today that during a recent visit to Bonn, he asked that West Germany provide compensation for Austrian victims of Nazism in the 1938-1945 period.
He said that during World War II considerable Jewish property was transferred from Austria to Berlin by the Nazi regime for which he asked compensation. He did not indicate the West German response to his request.
