Some 2,800 prefabricated wood houses will be shipped to Israel by Austria this month, it was announced here today by the Austrian Lumber Organization, which has already delivered 4,000 prefabs to Trieste where Israeli vessels pick them up. The orders were placed by the Jewish Agency.
Arie Eshel, Israeli consul here, has just opened a new consulate in this city at a ceremony attended by 200 persons, including representatives of the major Jewish organizations. The building in which the consulate is located was a gift to the State of Israel from a local Jew.
