The Christian City Council of Eisenstadt, Burgenland, on the border between Austria and Hungary, unanimously passed a resolution to request the League of Nations to establish the proposed Jewish university in that city.
Eisenstadt was once upon a time famous for its great Jewish academny, which had existed for many generations. The resolution points out that the Jews and Christians of Eisenstadt have always lived together under the most harmonious conditions.
