The organization of holders of organized property who face loss of that property under the Austrian restitution law have appealed to Austrian Bishops for aid in fighting these “unjust laws.”
The plea, in the form of a letter, asked protection against “exaggerated” Jewish claims. It asserts that the property now held by the former Nazis vas purchased in “good faith” and adds that great harm will be wrought in Catholic circles if the measures are enforced.
