Austrian Finance Minister Reinhardt Kamitz presided today over a special Austrian Government commission which began negotiations with representatives of groups demanding restitution for loss and damages sustained during the Nazi regime.
It was revealed that the Austrian Government group consisted of three subcommittees, one of which was dealing with restitution to Nazi victims under the terms of the Austrian State Treaty. No other information was released about the meeting, on the grounds that publicity might interfere with a settlement.
