The Austrian Resistance Movement, including both Jewish and non-Jewish anti-Nazis, protested to the Government of Austria today against its having granted permission for the holding of an international Nazi congress at Salzburg. The anti-Nazi movement demanded immediate revocation of the permit, warning that otherwise clashes were unavoidable.

The organization which has been granted permission to meet at Salzburg is the Social European Order Movement. Present at next week’s convention will be delegates from the Hitler Elite Guard, the Spanish Blue Legion, the French Tri-Color and the Dutch, Flemish and Ukrainian SS organizations.

The convention was initiated by A. Soucek, former Syrian SS officer who received. a death sentence in 1948 for his pro-Nazi activities but was amnestied and released after serving a few years.
