Madame Regina Ullmann. one of the pioneers of women’s rights in Austria and a leading Jewish philanthropist, was honored on her eightieth birthday.
The President of the Republic, Dr. Hainisch, sent his congratulations and conferred an Order upon Madame Ullmann. A delegation visited her on behalf of the Ministry of Public Welfare. The Mayor of Vienna, Herr Seitz, also sent his congratulations.
Many women’s organizations here have elected her Honorary President. The Women’s Zionist Organization expressed their congratulations.
Madame Ullmann has been an active worker for women’s rights for wer fifty years and has also taken a prominent part in Jewish social work. She was one of the participants in the Congress of Jewish Women which was held in Vienna a few years ago.
