Interior Minister Hans Czettel pledged today he would do all in his power to prevent the glorification in Austria of the German army Hitler created.
He made the statement in response to an appeal from the Austrian resistance movement. The movement complained that Austrian war veterans planned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Austria with festivities geared to them that, for seven years of the Nazi occupation, they had been members of Hitler’s army.
