The first meeting of the Austrian Zionist Organization to be held since 1938 was convened here yesterday with several hundred people in attendance. Speakers included David Brill, president of the Jewish Community Council, Rudolph Braver, the council’s director, and Ilya Dijour of the HIAS.
Dijour told the meeting that “even if Jews wanted to go to any other countries beside Palestine, I should be compelled to tell them that no other country is willing to admit them.”
