David Kassell, the well known Jewish writer, died here today at the age of 54.
Mr. Kassell was the author of the famous Yiddish novel, “In Dorf.” He was also the author of other works which were translated from Yiddish into Russian, German and Danish. In addition to belles-lettres, Kassell wrote many textbooks on arithmetic, physics, history and Yiddish grammar. He also translated works by English and German writers into Yiddish.
