Dr. Bernhard Wachstein, 67, Jewish historian and authority on the history of the Jews in Austria, died here today. Dr. Wachstein was librarian of the Vienna Jewish community.
He was born in Tlustz, Austria, and was educated at the University of Vienna. He was particularly interested in Austrian Jewish life in the Middle Ages and published a number of books dealing with the subject.
