Any step now taken to meet the Arab wishes with regard to representative institutions in Palestine will be considered a premium for the “heroes” of Hebron, Motza, Safed, etc., declares the Hebrew daily “Ha’Aratz,” minimizing threats of a Pan-Arab revolt which is being used with evident effect on the government, the paper states.
“Any compromise in this direction at this time would be seen as capitulation before terror, as the defeat of law by violence. If the government in Jerusalem and London does not wish to show the primitive Arab mobs that the government is with them in all their criminal acts, if it does not desire to show not only Palestine but the entire East from the Nile to the Ganges, that by intimidation England can be made to cancel her international obligations, Great Britain must not further pursue this course,” warns the “Ha’Aratz.”
