A warning against the immigration of German Jews to Palestine was sounded here last night by Dr. Henrich Stahl, president of the Berlin Jewish Community and one of the outstanding Jewish leaders in Germany, in an address which he delivered on the role of the German Jew in the present upbuilding of Palestine.
Dr. Stahl pointed out that conditions in Palestine differ vastly from those in Central Europe. He emphasized the difficulties which the German youth may face in Palestine, and urged Jews to remain in Germany.
“The difficulties which Palestine offers for the future of our younger generation need not be underestimated. It is the task of the majority of Jews in Germany to remain in Germany and to support the developments of Palestine from here,” Dr. Stahl stated.
