Avukah Convention Closes, Announcing Palestine Fellowships Competition

The twelfth annual convention of Avukah, student Zionist organization, closed tonight at the Hotel Cleveland after electing a council of three, including Adrian Schwartz, chairman; Jesse Orlansky, secretary, and Herbert Wilner, treasurer. In addition, an administrative council of ten regional directors was named.

A competition for Palestine fellowships was announced. The purpose of the four-day parley was to consider recent developments in Palestine and particularly to direct itself towards orienting the student to a world outlook with Palestine as the center. The student delegated heard committee reports, discussion of activities in connection with the Jewish National Fund and training of pioneers for Palestine.
