Following is the list of nations which have to date officially accepted the United States Government’s proposal to aid emigration of political refugees: Great Britain, Denmark, Costa Rica, The Netherlands, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Sweden, Guatemala, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, France, Haiti, Mexico, Peru, Uruguary, Bolivia and Chile.
Of 29 nations and four British dominions invited, Italy alone has rejected the proposal. Norway, Switzerland, Cuba, Ecuador, Honduras and the British dominions are still to be heard from.
