Mr. B. Smolar, Editor of the Jewish Service of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in New York, sailed Friday on the “Ile de France” to resume his post as Moscow correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
Memorial services for the late Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Gibbs were conducted Sunday morning at the Montefiore Hebrew Congregation, the Bronx.
Present at the services were Supreme Court Justice Albert Cohn, Senator Benjamin Antin, Surrogate George M. S. Schulz, County Judge Harry Stockel, City Court. Justice William S. Evans, John A. Biglin, Democratic leader of the 3rd Assembly District.
