Emil N. Baar, prominent attorney and civic leader, has been named chairman of the Jewish Welfare Board Veterans Service Committee, Frank L. Weil, president of the Board announced today.
The Jewish Welfare Board is accredited by the Veterans Administration of the War Department to handle claims for benefits, and its representatives are stationed at principal regional offices of the Veterans Administration throughout the country to assist veterans and their next of kin. The growing number of discharged veterans makes necessary amplification and extension of J.W.B. services in this area, Mr. Weil announced.
