An appeal that professional people generally, and particularly lawyers, take a more active part in philanthropy and communal affairs, with the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities’ $500,000 twenty-fifth anniversary campaign as the immediate object to be aided, was made last night by Herman S. Bachrach, president of the Federation Lawyers’ Club, at that organization’s April meeting held at the Hotel Pierrepont.
Mr. Bachrach, who was one of the founders of the Federation in 1909, said that among non-contributors to the twenty-five constituent societies are many persons in professional life who could be annual subscribers and urged that all support the Federation in this drive., of which County Judge Algeron I. Nova is chairman.
