The reburial ceremonies of the remains of Dr. Theodor Herzl and his family, originally scheduled to begin in Israel tomorrow, have been postponed because of bad flying weather which has prevented the landing of the special Israeli plane in Vienna where the coffins now repose, an official announcement said today. The craft which was sent to bring the caskets to Israel is now grounded in Italy.
Meanwhile, preparations for the funeral are nearly completed. The gravesite has been painstakingly decorated and the special platform where the coffins will rest in the courtyard of the Jewish Agency prior to removal to the burial grounds is already erected.
