The State Ministry of Baden today issued new instruction once more banning the killing of poultry in the manner prescribed by Jewish Law.
The statement issued by the ministry complained that it has been established that poultry is still killed according to Jewish law and declares that severe steps will be taken to end violations of the anti-shechita law.
One of the anti-Jewish measures promulgated by the Hitler regime was the anti-shechita law, forbidding Jews from killing poultry and cattle in accordance with Jewish law and tradition. The Nazi regime declared that the method used by Jewish shochtem was “cruel” and against Nazi “humanitarian dictates”
