The period beginning Sunday, Oct, 31 and ending with Sabbath services on Friday evening, November 5 and Saturday, November 6, has been designated as Balfour week in observance of the 26th anniversary of the issuance of the Balfour Declaration, in a proclamation issued here today by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Zionist Organization of America.
In his proclamation, Dr. Goldstein lays special emphasis on the nationwide campaign launched to secure the abrogation of the White Paper and asks American Zionists everywhere to dedicate Balfour Week to the two-fold purpose of marshalling the support of the American public for the Zionist cause and to mobilize their full strength in the fight against the White Paper.
