Resolutions protesting “discriminating decrees” against Jews in Germany and asserting the body’s belief “in religious and racial tolerance” have been adopted by the Baltimore City Council.
Introduced by E. Lester Muller, president of the body, the resolutions read in part:
“The City Council of Baltimore has learned with great concern and deep regret of the plight of the Jews in Germany, arising as a result of governmental decrees discriminating against them, and it desires by solemn resolution to give evidence of its sorrow and condemnation of such relapses into the unfortunate bigotry of a medieval era.”
