The Associated Jewish Charities here announced today the launching of a $2,000,000 Youth Fund Building campaign to provide new buildings in northwest Baltimore for the Jewish Community Center and the Baltimore Hebrew College.
It is estimated that the new Jewish Community Center building will cost in the neighborhood of $1,500,000 and the Baltimore Hebrew College approximately $500,000. The new buildings will replace the “Y” building of the Jewish Community Center, which was opened 26 years ago in 1930, and the reconditioned private home which has housed the Baltimore Hebrew College and the Board of Jewish Education for thirty years.
