A reception in honor of Isadore Apfel, Jewish communal leader of New York, and Grand Master of the Independent Order Brith Abraham, is to be held here Sunday afternoon, March 5th, at the Brith Sholom Hall.
The Independent Order Brith Abraham is one of the largest Jewish fraternal orders in America. The Order recently launched a movement to create a Scholarship Fund to enable the sons of the members of the Order to pursue their studies at the Yeshiva College, the only college of liberal arts and sciences under Jewish auspices.
Mr. Apfel, who is also the Vice-President of the American Jewish Congress and the Yeshiva College, will discuss the situation of the Jews in Germany and other European countries. The reception will be addressed by Judge Leon Sanders, Louis B. Siegal, First Deputy Grandmaster; Max Got-segan, Chairman of the Reserve Board and Harris L. Selig, Executive Director of the Yeshiva College.
