Baltimore Jews will be asked to give $3,904,000 in 1951 to the Associated Jewish Charities and Welfare Fund, it was announced here today. This is the minimum amount needed to support the 14 agencies of the Associated Jewish Charities and the 19 agencies of the Jewish Welfare Fund, a statement by the boards of directors of both organizations said. The goal of $3,904,000 is almost one-half million more than was raised in the 1950 combined campaign. Joseph Meyerhof, president of the Jewish Welfare Fund, will head the joint campaign.
