S. Vernon McCasland, Professor of Religion at Goucher College, declares in the Baltimore Evening Sun that Jews should “repudiate the Zionist termites who, by their romantic dreams about a Jewish nation, are undermining the security which Jews now enjoy.” Prof. McCasland had criticized the Zionist movement in an article in the Sun on May 23. A reply by Rabbi Edward L. Israel was published on June 1. Prof. McCasland’s present article, offered in rebuttal, appeared on June 9.
