Baltimore Jewry will pay tribute to the memory of the late Chaim Nachman Bialik, Hebrew poet laureate who died in Vienna last month, in a memorial meeting Wednesday evening at Chizuk Amuno Congregation.
Among the speakers will be Abraham Goldberg, New York journalist; Rabbi Israel Tabk of Shaarei Zion Congregation; Dr. Herman Seidel, chairman of the arrangements committee, who knew the poet intimately, and Harry T. Kellman, president of the Baltimore Zionist District, who will act as chairman.
Lillian Lieber will recite one of Bialik’s poems and Cantor Adolph J. Weisgal will offer appropriate selection. Hazkarah and all Baltimore Zionist organizations will participate.
