Beginning a week of entertainment and celebration, the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association dedicated its new building this week.
More than 2,000 members and their guests witnessed the dedication exercises and heard the congratulations of both Governor Albert C. Ritchie and Mayor William F. Broening. The exercises were opened with the presentation of the key to the new building by Aaron Straus, chairman of the building committee. Rabbi William Rosenau, of the Eutaw Place Temple, delivered the invocation, and the benediction was given by Rabbi Adolph Coblenz, of the Chizuk Amuno Synagogue.
Addresses also were given by Harry Greenstein, president of the association, and Frank J. Rubenstein, its educational director.
