Residents of Alliance, Norma and Brotmanville, pioneer settlements of Jewish farmers, which were financed by the Baron De Hirsch Fund, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of these colonies, located near here, on August 20 and 21. The few remaining pioneers and their descendants, from all parts of the country, are planning to take part.
Arrangements for the affair are in the hands of a committee, including Harry D. Steinberg of Philadelphia, general chairman; Herman, Eisenberg of Philadelphia, general secretary; I. Harry Levin of Norma, district secretary, and P. M. Colans of New York, treasurer.
