Baron Guy de Rothschild was elected yesterday president of the Central Consistory of French Jewry succeeding Judge Leon Meiss, who resigned. The new president received 46 votes of a total of 53 cast. Baron de Rothschild is the son of the late Baron Edouard de Rothschild, the consistory from 1912-1939.
