The charge that Israel-bound Jewish DP’s from Bavaria are “dismantling” German equipment, machinery and furniture — allegedly acquired from the black market–and are removing it from Germany under the protection of. Dr. Philip Auerbach, Jewish Commissioner for Persecutees in the Bavarian Provincial Government, was voiced here today at a press conference by several Bavarian officials representing the Ministries of Economics and Foreign Trade.
Hans Tichauer, of the Foreign Trade Ministry, elaborating on the charges, told the press conference that displaced Jews on route to Israel are taking goods of high value out of the country without permission.
A group of 100 Yeshiva students will leave here for Israel on Sunday. They will complete their studies at the Beth Joseph Yeshiva in Tel Aviv. Rabbis Nathan Baruch and Aviezer Burstyn, of the Vaad Hatzalah, will accompany the students.
